We’re thrilled to share an incredible update about Finn McBurnie! Finn has won the Victorian State School Students Trap Championship!

In challenging conditions with wind gusts up to 80 km/h, Finn shot exceptionally well. He faced a shoot-off with three other students - two seniors and one junior - for the overall State Title. Remarkably, Finn was competing in the junior category and has only participated in this discipline three times! Finn’s incredible achievement will be commemorated with his and Trinity’s names proudly engraved on the trophy, which will be held in perpetuity by the Victorian Clay Target Association at Echuca Gun Club.

It was fascinating to see the names of previous winners on the trophy, including several Commonwealth Games and Olympic champions, such as 2024 Olympic bronze medalist Penny Smith! Congratulations, Finn!
